We have switched to Goody from Future (another fast food Chinese establishment) since early 2013 because the food tasted so much better. They became our new favorite (almost every weekend). We just ordered our usual and the results were drastically different. And when we called back to voice our complaints, they ARGUED with us. I don't think so. We have always ordered large ribs on the bone, and now you give us cut up ribs, which make up THREE ribs, and you charge me the same price. You also make a meal into a combo when I didn't request that, and you give me small pieces of chicken instead of the large strips you used to serve. And you ARGUE with us. You should always tell a customer when your menu has changed, whether it be recipe/prices. They would still be our Goody if they were willing to hear our concerns, address the problem with a fair solution, and not ARGUE without listening. We are sorry to see you go. Goody is no longer a goodie.

I have been meaning to try this place for a while, and I have been meaning to join Yelp for a while, so I thought that I would knock both things off my list tonight. Goody's has the odd distinction of being the only Spanish/Chinese place in the area, and while the combination might sound dubious, it actually works out pretty nicely. "Bare bones" might be a generous description of the interior, so in the future, I think we will get delivery, but I figured that I should check the place out in person at least once. We ordered the #10 from the menu on the wall, which is numbered differently than the enormous take away menu. The #10 includes a full chicken, pork fried rice and a salad, and we added a side of sweet plantains for good measure. All together, our check came to just under $15.00. The chicken was a well done pollo a la brassa. The white meat was a little dry, but it was saved by the vinegary garlic sauce that came on the side (order extra!!!). Dark meat was great! The fried rice was great: a mix of a Spanish yellow rice and little chunks of that mysterious kool aid red Chinese bbq pork. Plantains were also really good. Bob (the other diner) swears that they are better than those at La Conguita but I don't think I can go quite that far. The only disappointment was the salad, which was just a few pieces of droopy iceberg lettuce. I guess those fried plantains are just going to have to count as my veg for today. Bob is shoveling leftover fried rice into his mouth as I am typing. He adds that it is really good cold.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
